Fresh-As-Spring Arrangements

Now that it's spring, you'll want to bring some of the beauty of the outdoors into your cottage! Here are some clever ideas from Midwest Living for creating pretty centerpieces and arrangements. This is just a sampling–you'll find much more at MidwestLiving.com.

Use a watering can for a front door display.

Create a garden buffet with a large terra-cotta saucer for a serving tray and a wire tiered basket filled with fresh fruit, flowers, and veggies.

Use peonies as "nests" for small speckled eggs–just set the peony blooms in a compote dish of water and nestle the eggs in the center of the blooms!

Use vintage metal tins and lunch pails to hold spring floral arrangements.

Fill rain boots with a bouquet of tulips! Arrange them in a vase that will fit into the boot without being seen.

A bouquet of baby artichokes makes a pretty spring arrangement.

A spring mantel with a soft, natural, airy feel really freshens up a room.

And arranging cuttings of blooming branches in a milk bottle or vase is an easy and inexpensive way to bring a touch of springtime to any room!

What do you do to bring the freshness of springtime into your home?
