Fresh-Squeezed Honey Lemonade

Fresh-squeezed lemonade sounds time-consuming, but it really isn't. And it's so much better than lemonade concentrate or a mix! If you avoid drinking lemonade because of the sugar, this lemonade is made with honey, which is better for you, and it tastes wonderful! The color of this lemonade takes on the color of the honey, so the hue is much deeper than your typical lemonade. This recipe makes 2 to 4 servings, so you'll want to double it if you need a bigger batch.

Makes 2 large or 4 smaller servings

  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup freshly-squeezed lemon juice (about 3 medium-to-large lemons)
  • 2/3 cup honey (use your favorite kind)
  • Fresh mint and/or lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Combine water and lemon juice in a pitcher, then add honey, mixing well, until honey is dissolved. Pour into ice-filled glasses. Garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices if desired.

Hope you enjoy the lemonade! Do you make lemonade often, or do you have another favorite beverage you like to make?
