Welcome to my "cottage"! I don't have a real cottage right now, just this virtual one, where I'm gathering ideas and inspiration for the cottage home I hope to have one day. I guess you could call this blog my "cottage idea scrapbook."

When I think of cottage living, I think of a slower–paced, casual, easy–going lifestyle. When it comes to cottage decor, I think of vintage antiques mixed with simple rustic or contemporary pieces and a fun touch of colorful retro accents added in. I think of sentimental treasures displayed with charming handmade items or unique objects found in nature...bird nests, pretty stones, shells...and, of course, beautiful fresh-cut flowers from the cottage garden.

And when it comes to food, I think of delicious homemade meals and side dishes made with fresh fruits and vegetables...and classic desserts like pound cake and apple pie fresh from the oven.
