Easter will soon be here and I've been seeing lots of pretty ideas for painting and decorating eggs, whether they're hardboiled eggs or decorative wooden or ceramic eggs. The photo of the painted wooden eggs shown above is from Victoria Magazine–these are painted with an acrylic base color. After the base color is dry, the pretty designs are painted on. See Victoriamag.com for complete instructions and other Easter ideas.
At Country Living, you'll find instructions for creating these beautiful eggs: a Robin's Egg, dyed and speckled with brown ink, and a Paper Napkin Egg that's created with Mod Podge and patterns from paper napkins. See how-to's here.
These golden eggs, from Midwest Living, will add a pretty shimmer to your Easter table. Eggs are dyed and golden accents are created with gold acrylic craft paint, a gold metallic ink pad, or gold Sharpie paint markers. See directions here.
Also from Midwest Living, a variety of ways to decorate eggs with scrapbooking stickers or tissue paper and Mod Podge. Find instructions here.
