Easy Pumpkin Decorating

Have you carved or decorated any pumpkins yet? Here are some creative, eye-catching ways to make your pumpkins really special! Photos from Country Living.

Make a quaint village scene with a grouping of pumpkins in a variety of sizes.

Burlap Pumpkins are decorated with strips of narrow burlap ribbon for a rustic country look.

Make a pretty floral-patterned pumpkin using a decoupage technique with a faux pumpkin (see Country Living for instructions). The toile pumpkin is made in a similar way.

Another decoupage look with leaves on white gourds, using ModPodge. Or do a quilt-style motif  on a faux pumpkin (pattern is downloadable at Country Living).

Use acrylic paints as an easy way to add patterns to your pumpkins!

If you don't have time to decorate your pumpkins or gourds, here's an easy and elegant way to display them with glass cloches!

What kinds of ways do you like to decorate your pumpkins?
