I've always thought using old suitcases in room decor was a great idea and I particularly love suitcases painted with a Shabby Chic-style weathered look. Here are some great ways to upcycle those suitcases, found on Pinterest. Above, a suitcase coffee table with short vintage-style legs added on. You could use rolling casters instead of legs for easier movability.
Attached to a stand, a suitcase can even work as a side table.
Or use one by itself under a table, dresser, or bed for extra storage.
Of course, suitcases look great in a stack for extra storage, too! The middle photo shows a few stacked on a bench. The bottom photo shows how attractive and useful a stack of suitcases can be in a craft or sewing room.
