Welcoming Garden Gates

A decorative garden gate can add so much to the entranceway of your yard! I found some really unique garden gates at Midwest Living, and here are just a few...

A classic white picket fence needs a beautiful white picket gate like this...with a rounded arbor for trailing, flowering vines.

A great upcycling idea–this gate was actually made from an antique headboard! The headboard was trimmed to fit the entrance space that separates the front and back yards.

A lovely white gate with latticework has lots of old-fashioned charm, and the wreath is a wonderful finishing touch.

A rusted, vintage gate with lots of ornamental metal work would be a great choice for a Victorian-style cottage.

This arched gate looks very picturesque and storybookish (I'm reminded of The Secret Garden) surrounded with all the lush greenery. The tall blooming bush leaning gracefully against the metal-gated brick wall beckons you to enter the garden!

Simple country cottage style...a large stone path leads visitors up to the wide-board wooden gate.

So quaint...this wood and stone gated area is as pretty as a picture with the lush flowers and foliage all around. The full, flowering wreath and brick walkway make this garden entrance irresistible!

What kind of garden gate would you like to have for your yard?
